House in Ajuda nominated for Construir prizes

The House in Ajuda, completed in Lisbon last year, is nominated for the ‘Construir’ award. These prizes cover categories like Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Real Estate. Among other nominations is Souto de Moura’s Paula Rego Museum, Álvaro Siza’s Insel Hombroich Foundation, Camilo Rebelo and Tiago Pimentel’s Art and Archeology Museum and Carrilho da Graça’s Covilhã footbridge.

You can vote on our project through the website until tomorrow. More news on the prize after the award ceremony next Monday.

Architecture yearbook

‘Casa na Ajuda’, the single family house completed last year was selected for the Architecture Yearbook that the Caleidoscópio editor published. This book features projects by Álvaro Siza, Eduardo Souto de Moura, Gonçalo Byrne and Guilherme Machado Vaz, among others. The launching event is tomorrow at 6.30 pm in the Architects Association auditorium.

Caleidoscópio currently publishes the magazine Arquitectura Ibérica and has a big tradition on monographs and essays on architecture.

J.A. (Jornal Arquitectos), the architectural journal issued by the Portuguese Architects Association, just published an article about our office in the section “Up and Coming Architects”. THE “REALISM” OF E-STUDIO was writen by Paulo Tormenta Pinto and features the newly built House in Ajuda. House in Ajuda published in Darco Magazine

House in Ajuda, a single family house in Lisbon, completed in the summer of 2009, was just published in the December issue of Darco Magazine. It’s a 24 pages article that contains photographs by Fernando Guerra. This issue also features Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects and Kubota Architect Atelier.
