Portuguese Architects Association (Ordem dos Arquitectos) and the London Festival of Architecture are pleased to invite you to the exhibition made in the frame of the International Architecture Showcase, and initiated by the Portuguese Embassy in London, Habitar Portugal 2006/2008, exhibition of Portuguese Architecture.

The House in Ajuda, completed in Lisbon last year, is nominated for the ‘Construir’ award. These prizes cover categories like Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Real Estate. Among other nominations is Souto de Moura’s Paula Rego Museum, Álvaro Siza’s Insel Hombroich Foundation, Camilo Rebelo and Tiago Pimentel’s Art and Archeology Museum and Carrilho da Graça’s Covilhã footbridge.

OA (Portuguese Architect’s Association) is hosting a cycle of conferences entitled WAYD (What Are You Doing?) which focus on promoting the current architectural situation, particularly non-built projects.
EXTRASTUDIO will be their guest-speakers tomorrow, June 17th at 9 pm. We hope to see you there.
EXTRASTUDIO + OFICINA DOS JARDINS are completing the re-qualification of the outdoor spaces on the Primary School and Kindergarten of Romeira, a small village near Santarém, Portugal. New playgrounds, green areas and a canopy linking the existing buildings to the main entrance are part of the project launched by Santarém´s Municipal Authorities to modernize its educational facilities. Completion is due to take place on July 2010.
