Honorable mention in the Valdebebas competition
Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, the mayor of Madrid, announced Tuesday the final results of the Valdebebas urban park competition, that ranked our proposal as the 1st honorable mention.
The results immediately followed a stressing morning, when all the teams made a twenty minutes presentation to the eleven members of the jury. The final report enhanced the linking pathways and the water strategies in our design.
Some images of the project will follow soon. Local architects Jerónimo Junquera and landscape architect Teresa Galí became 2nd, and 3rd prize went to the top Swiss landscape architect Guido Hager. Congrats to João Nunes for the 1st prize.
