e-studio on the Road to Wonderland
e-studio was invited to present their work in the “Road to Wonderland” conference, the 3rd of July at Passos Manuel movie theater in Oporto.
The Portuguese Architects Institute, together with Wonderland, is promoting a series of conferences with the theme “Young Architects on Portugal: Road to Wonderland”, from June to October 2007.
Wonderland is a Wien based institution that supports the young architectural practices and their exchange of experiences. Currently publishes a magazine, on its 2nd edition, and curates one traveling exposition.
This series of conferences is made in 13 sessions with 3 types of presentations: architects presenting their built or unbuilt work, magazine, blog or photographs; scholars presenting their papers on the architecture condition; open chats about the practice of architecture today.
This is an opportunity given to young architectural offices to show their work and to be selected for a exchange program in December 2007: “Wonderland Exchange: Changing Europe / (Ex-) changing conditions”. It is also intended to start the debate about the situation of young architecture professionals in Portugal, as the consequence of the discussion with other european architects, comparing the local and the european architectural contexts.
